UNACOIS approach to getting their voice heard was awesome. Also, I thought it was interesting they considered it "militant" tactics. I think if we want change we need to continue to be mindful of theyʻre methods. I believe in the power of protest. Again look at Haunani-Kay and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Through her education and understanding we now have Kamakakūokalani.

Organized mass strikes got UNACOIS a voice. If you want better well-being we need independence from the colonizerʻs mindset and the way to accomplish that is through returning to the culture, sustaining ourselves from our Papa and through the language.

Kinda off the subject but it makes me wonder what would happen if Hawaiians chose to strike Waikīkī for months? What type of impact would it have? Would tourist come to see non-hawaiians?
